Everyone knows how I love a good deal. I’m just a bargain hunter, I’m hopeless. I had already looked thru the black Friday ads and didn’t really see anything I just HAD to have except one thing. Wal-Mart had pajama pants on sale for $4.50 and I thought that was a great deal. Well, I just thought Gracie and I were going shopping!
We decided last year that we needed to start a new tradition for Christmas. Gracie decided on pajamas, she wanted to buy pair and stay in them all day on Christmas day. I thought that was an awesome idea. When I saw the Thanksgiving Day ad for pajama pants for $4.50, I thought we would go out snag us a pair. I love saving money, Gracie loves shopping (at least for herself). Where could we go wrong?
Well, let me tell you something- We didn’t get out of our vehicle. We didn’t even park! I’ve always shopped on Black Friday, never on Thanksgiving but I’ve never saw crowds like this. We couldn’t find a parking spot. I know that most of you don’t know my town, but I’m going to describe the parking area. The entire Wal-Mart parking lot was full. The parking lot of the DR’s office/tanning center in front of Wal-Mart was full. The whole parking lot of the shopping center to the right of Wal-Mart was full. I mean the whole thing. People were parking at the softball field down the road! There was people parking at Ace Gazaway and across the highway. The police were there.
I looked at Gracie as we hit the parking lot and scanned the area. I told her that it just wasn’t worth the deal. We would just have to pay full price for pajamas (hanging my head in shame). I’m just not fighting a crowd like that for pajamas! Oh well, we came home and snuggled and watched some TV. We had a much better time than we would have had battling long lies at Wally World.
If you find any good deals on pajamas, let me know. We are going to need them for Christmas Day. You know I’m going to be kicking myself in the behind if I don’t find one after coming home last night!
