The nights are getting SO cold in Arkansas. Sometimes I just want something that will warm me up. Hot chocolate always fits the bill. This year, I have changed up my recipe a little and made this an adult hot chocolate!
Please read on get my recipe for spiked peppermint hot chocolate. It only has 5 basic ingredients. You’ll find it is very easy to make.
Spiked peppermint hot chocolate ~
This adult hot chocoate is easy to make and fun to drink. Spiked Pepperming Hot Chocolate is the perfect way to warm up on cold night.
Ingredients
- Simple syrup
- 3 OZ Peppermint Schnapps
- 3 OZ Chocolate Liquor
- 5 TBSP Cocoa
- 8 OZ Milk
- 3 TBSP Sugar
Instructions
Dip the rims of the mugs into the simple syrup and then into the crushed candy canes.
Set the mugs to the side.
Add milk, cocoa and sugar to a saucepan over medium heat.
Stir until cocoa and sugar are dissolved, and the mixture is warm.
Remove from the heat, don't let it simmer.
Add peppermint schnapps and the chocolate liquor.
Optional but really suggested... garnish with whipped cream, and sprinkle with crushed candy canes.
