I have a daughter, and her safety is one of my top priorities! One of the ways I keep her safe is by using an app on my phone called Ourpact. This app was specifically designed with children’s’ safety in mind. It is easy to use, and it makes me feel really good about allowing my daughter on her phone/tablet! All you need to do is download the app onto your device and create an account. You will need to come up with a username and password. Once your account has been made, the app will provide you with a link that you will access on your child’s device. From there, you will download the app onto their device and pair the two devices so you have complete parental control over your child’s phone or tablet.

Outpact allows you to block certain applications or internet sites, and you can also set a usage schedule to regulate how long they are on their device and during what time they can be on it. This comes in handy during dinnertime, after curfew, if you have family or friends over, or if you just plan family time where electronic devices aren’t allowed.

If you are only wanting to block particular apps during certain parts of the day, that is possible! You can schedule a block. You can also manually block an app and that will take effect immediately. Your child will not be able to download the app you block, which ensures their safety even more!

Social media apps are most likely the #1 apps that will be blocked on devices because they open up doors to chatting with strangers and other dangerous people. You can block Facebook, Snap Chat, Instagram, Skype, etc. If you are ready to take the next step and ensure parental control over your child’s device, you can find Ourpact here in the iTunes app store. You should also visit ParentsWare’s website for more information on this app if you have any additional questions!
