Moms, who do you take care of first? I know the answer, it’s the kiddo’s and then your WONDERFUL husbands. You take care of yourselves but you DO make sure that everyone else has what they need first. I think it’s a universal way of life.
Now, if Michael knew I put something he needed before what I needed, he would not be happy. I bet your husbands wouldn’t either. Michael is a carpenter though and he really needs certain items more than I do. He would throw a fit if I didn’t take care of Gracie first, that is just standard at our house.
But… due to a lack of finances (certain years) here is how I handle eye exams. Gracie will always get her eye exam and if she needs a new pair of glasses, she will get them. She wears contacts, so she always gets her supply of contacts. Then when finances build back up, I make an appointment for Michael. He can’t wear contacts due to his profession so he will always get new glasses if called for.
Then… here moves in the lack of time (and finances). I just do not have the time to go to the eye DR and sit, forever, for an exam. I have so much to as it is. If you read this blog on a regular basis, you know I’m always behind. When I do have time, finances better be in order. I just went through a period of wearing my glasses for about 2 months. At first, due to lack of finances then lack of time!
Now, I have my contacts and I am SO happy. I am not a glasses type person. I’m old Momma, I’m 48. I have worn contacts since I was 14. I very rarely go without contacts. So, if you see me with my glasses on, it’s one of the two causes listed above.
I have found a cure to help with the financial situation (and even the lack of time). DiscountGlasses.com and DiscountContactLenses.com – they both offer great services. DiscountGlasses.com is US based and ships from Columbus, OH and the prices start at just 9.95 with free shipping! Did I mention QUALITY frames? DiscountContactLenses.com has the lowest prices guaranteed on contact lenses and new customers receive 20% off.
Both of these sites will save you time and money. I’m not the only Momma that has trouble with lack of time and finances, am I?
