I tried it and I liked it 🙂

I’ve been given the chance to try Lawhorn’s Seasonings. It came in the mail today but I’m not going to be cooking anything until my husband and daughter return from trip to Springfield, MO. Gracie won a chance to be a JR. Globetrotter, so she and Don took off for a few days to spend some time with my brother and sister in law and to watch those Globetrotters.
I’m excited about trying this new spice. My daughter loves catfish, but I make mine too spicy for her. I don’t think Lawhorn’s Seasonings will bother her like my present spice. I want to try this on burgers too. In fact, that may be what I try it on first, because I’d love to have a good ol’ cheeseburger right now.
In the letter that I received with my spice it states that Guy Fieri’s Mom (Penny Ferry) is one of their biggest supporters. Isn’t that neat- you know it has to be good 🙂 It also says that it completely changes flavor profiles on virtually everything you cook with it. I can’t wait!
Anyway- I just want to let you know as soon as my family get’s home, I’ll be cooking and trying out this seasoning.
I have tried this now. Monday night we had burgers (I had been wanting one for a few days) and on Tuesday we had catfish.
The burgers tasted really good, everyone in my family enjoyed it. The flavor was not overpowering, too salty or anything- it was just right. I’ll be using it again on burgers, especially for Gracie. She really enjoyed it.
The catfish was good, but it wasn’t my favorite. I like mine more “Cajun” but the taste was ok to me. That’s just my personal preference. Now as far as the rest of my family- they did like it. Gracie liked it best because she’s not as fond of my Cajun style. She kept saying “this is good isn’t it or do you like it, I do”.
So, I think that the Lawhorn’s Seasonings a hit at the Sparks’ household. I just need to try it on chicken now.
