Gracie can’t mow. So this question has nothing to do with her. She is allergic to grass, she’s been tested. She takes allergy shots for it. The poor kid is allergic to almost everything outside. I am wondering though how old you feel is too young to mow?
I was out visiting a few yard sales today and saw a very young child behind a law mower. He couldn’t have been any more than 3 years old. He was standing behind the lawn mower with what looked like his Grandpa. He could barely touch the handle. His arms were outstretched along with the elderly mans and they were just mowing away.
Even before we knew Gracie was allergic to grass, we wouldn’t allow her to even be outside while Don was mowing. We were too afraid that she would be hit by something that would be shot out the side, a stick or something. I didn’t want her to get hurt. I’ve seen young children on riding lawn mowers too. I’ve know of one child that has fallen off a riding mower and her foot was severely hurt.
I know when we were growing up, we started mowing when we were about 12 years old. What age do you think is ok to mow?
