Do you ever think about a hobby you had picked up as a child?
Well, I have been thinking about it. For some reason I’ve been thinking about my Dad and his love of music. We found out an old guitar in Dad and Mother’s walk in closet that belonged to his uncle. Dad never learned to play, but boy he could sing! He loved the song, Amanda.
Thinking about him singing and his guitar has had me searching the internet for instruments. Anyone who knows me, knows that I don’t do anything halfheartedly. I came across a guitar site and immediately thought maybe I COULD learn to play the guitar in remembrance of my Dad and go all in.
I’m not sure that I could learn to play or even have enough patience at this time in my life. Gracie keeps me so busy. I always, always wanted to play the piano. I remember begging my Mother, but she just didn’t have time to take me for lessons.
I wish Gracie wanted to take lessons or play an instrument in school. She has other things that she wants to do though and that’s OK. That’s Gracie’s life and I want her to be as happy as pie.
That’s neat you want to learn to play to remember your dad. It is hard to find time to do things when we have kids. At least Gracie has some interests, even though it’s not music. It’s good for teens to have a focus.
Yes, it is. So many parents try to live there lives thru their kids. Gracie is her own person. She is kind, she has a very kind heart. She would rescue every animal if she could. Her heart melts and and she can connect with almost anyone with special needs. She has a very special talent that I don’t possess. She’s a great kid. She has her moments thought (she is a teen) lol!
